The picture was created by Ashley Wing of Hanson, MA. Ashley is 9 years old and is in the 3rd grade. Ashley realizes the danger insects can cause to humans and knows the importance of wearing bug repellent. Last year Ashley went door to door selling lemonade to raise money for EEE victims and their families. She donated all the money she raised to Children's Hospital. Ashley is often referred to around her home town as the "repellent girl." Why is it so important for Ashely to teach other children the importance of wearing bug spray? Because Ashley and her family know the pain and devastation EEE can have on a family.
